Makena and Meredith was curious to see how close they could get to this Great White Egret. Surprisingly, they were able to get as close as two feet before the Egret started slowly walking towards the water eventually flying to the stern of the nearest boat. The Great Egret stood approximately 30″ tall and Makena and Meredith were fascinated by the beauty of this large bird. I like this image so much, I have ordered a canvas to go on our wall.
