Yes, the sky was really that blue and the water that turquoise. My family and I just returned from a cruise on the Disney Fantasy, with stops an the Grand Cayman Island, Costa Maya, Mexico, Cozumel, Mexico, and Castaway Cay, the all inclusive Disney Island. This shot was from our excursion on Grand Cayman. After stops at the rock formation HELL, and the Cayman turtle farm, as we are making our way back to the ship, I spotted this dock extending out into the turquoise water and wanted so badly to stop. all of a sudden our driver asked if anyone wanted to stop and dip their toes in the ocean and I was so glad some said yes. The driver only gave us 5 minutes so I rushed off the bus, leaving my tripod in my seat, and parked my butt on the pier and shot as many frames as I could compose in that short amount of time. I have often seen images of piers extending out in beautiful turquoise water and was so blessed to finally capture one myself. Although Grand Cayman is only 22 miles long by 4 miles wide, the beauty on the Island was breathtaking. Oprah Winfrey and Bill Gates have recently purchased large estates on the island.
